Post Card Requesting Member Verification

Recently many of us have received emails and post cards in the mail from the American Legion Department of Georgia asking members to verify their membership information.

These requests are solicitations from a publishing company that states they have been contracted by the American Legion Département of Georgia to publish an annual journal about the Department of Georgia and this journal will be available for sale to members of the Legion. This is not a scam; your name and address were provided to the publisher by the Department of Georgia.

You are NOT required to respond to these solicitations or provide any information. You are NOT required to verify your information with Department of Geogia or any other Headquarters outside our Post.

If you are still interested in participating and purchasing one of these annual journals, you can respond to the solicitation. Again, this is being organized by the State HQ and not our Post.
