Charles "Chuck" Augustus LaBarbera, USN

We regret to report the passing of Charles “Chuck” Augustus LaBarbera, age 77, passed away on February 10, 2024. Son of the late Charles LaBarbera and Angelina Bello LaBarbera, Chuck was born on July 31, 1946 in Washington DC.

Chuck earned his Bachlor’s Degree in Arts from Virginia Tech. He proudly served in the Vietnam War as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 29.

Chuck enjoyed being on the water sailing or outdoors hiking. He also enjoyed playing games of pickleball and traveling to visit many different wonders of the world. Chuck loved music and was a member of the New Horizons Band, Roswell Southern Winds Band and the Voices of Jazz band. On November 10, 1973 he married the love of his life, Kathryn Rose LaBarbera and they spent over fifty years together before his passing. Chuck was a very loving man who will be missed by all.

He leaves behind wife, Kathryn Rose LaBarbera; daughter, Angela Kathryn LaBarbera; son, Christopher Charles LaBarera; granddaughters, Sofia Rose LaBarbera and Ava Grace LaBarbera; brother, John LaBarbera and extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.
